Under Counter Wine Cooler

For some people, a wine cooler may be a kitchen item that can be found only in a big hotel or fancy restaurant. However, there is a good news for those who are really a wine lover, because nowadays a wine cooler can be easily found either in a online shop or a kitchen appliances shop. Wine cooler can be a great kitchen appliance as well because it can add some style to our kitchen and accommodate our wine collection.

There are two kinds of wine cooler, a freestanding wine cooler and under counter or built in wine cooler. A freestanding wine cooler is designed to stand alone, similar to refrigerator. While under counter wine cooler is designed to be put into or under our home counters or cabinets. What makes this kind of wine cooler more interesting is that it has a front vent which is located under the door which can channel the heat away from the unit.

However, there is an option that allows us to install a freestanding unit under our counter. First, we should allow enough built-in space around the unit in order to dissipate the heat from the wine cooler properly. The suggestion space we should leave is a gap of 2 to 3 inches on each side, top, and also in the back of the wine cooler to create the sufficient airflow around the unit.

Once we have decided the perfect wine cooler for our home, it is important to keep it clean as well. The first step is to unplug our cooler first and move all the items out from the wine cooler. Then, once there is no items inside it, we can start to clean the inside surfaces by a mild cleaner or a warm water. For the wooden shelves or trays, we can use a soft cloth or wood cleaner to clean them. And for the outside of the cooler, we can use a mild detergent to wash it. This mild detergent can be used too for cleaning the wire shelves or trays if any. For the last touch, we should dry any wet spots by using a soft cloth.
